What We DoDeveloping digital literacy and design skills is at the core of what we do in Dteq. Our aim is to provide people (especially those with disabilities) an opportunity to complete the Cert II in Applied Digital Technologies in a safe and supported learning environment.

Our HistoryDteq is the simulated "business name" of our Cert II in Applied Digital Technologies and is an experiment in online learning for Disability Programs.
Established as a professional development project by Matt Jolliffe, a lecturer with a passion for online learning, we have become a hub for people with disabilities learning IT and an exemplar for blended delivery of IT training for people with disabilities. Dteq stands for D block technology lab and has been active since 2010. Dteq was formerly known as e-tech, however with changes to college signage and the conversion of our main teaching area from E to D block during 2012 a name change to D-tech was in order. In 2014 we updated to Dteq to match our Wiki page address. In 2015 we added the Certificate II in Information, Digital Media & Technology to the Dteq brand. Each year between 2010 & 2021 we re-branded with a new logo to showcase the skills of our students. Every 2 years from 2015 our logo has been created by one of the Cert II IT students. The 2015 "Hunger-teq" logo was created by Leon, one of our first Cert II graduates while 2017's "Chrome Retro TV" & logo was designed by Will who graduated at the end of that year. Our 2019 logo was designed by Rachel with a Stargate feel and 2021's "Light Burst" designed by Isaac.
